The aim of the Associated Architectsin conducting the contest is set forth asfollows in the foreword of the pamphlet: Believing in the value of architecturein community life and the worthiness ofthis ancient profession and being desir-ous of obtaining a better understandingon the part of the public as to the im-portance and scope of the work of theprofession, the Associated Architectspropose this competition.
