Some of the ceilings are heavilybeamed and some of the walls are elaborately panelled in designs ofmahogany and walnut, whereas some of the walls are of Spanish-plasticseverity, concentrating the eye on elaborate window and door embellish-ments and ceilings. The decorations also extend into a generous display of splendidmurals; several of them painted by some of Californias best artists.
