end in modern architecture is turning towardspace and texture for effect. By working together,the weaver, decorator, and architect can producea correlated unit of textiles for the home of today. The Board Members of The ContemporaryHandweavers Association of California includeFrances Cohn, who does hand dyed yarns (es-pecially linens) which are distributed under thename of Siminoff, Use Schultz, Professor at MillsCollege in Oakland, Ellen Bangley and BarbaraCarling, Textile Designers. The exhibition also features several Bay Areapotters, who have made special dinner wore, andharmonizing table mats and napkins. Several ar-rangements have been done on unusual shapedtables showing how textiles can effectively be usedin the home. Furniture and dishes from Baldorf, Gumps, andCargoes are on display. Forming an interestingpart of the showing are the Blown-up architec-tural plans, and a screen covered with a hand-woven textile, designed and made by R. BensonAlexander. DISPLAY OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
