Schweim, secretary-manager. WEST GETS LARGE SHARE OF INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION The San Francisco and Los Angeles regionaloffices of the Office of Temporary Controls, whichsucceeded the Civilian Production Administration,have handled 19% of all industrial constructionapplications granted in the country, recently re-leased data indicates. Out of a national construction total of approxi-mately $2 billion since March, 1946, when non-housing construction went under Federal controls,$178 million was covered by applications grantedthrough the Los Angeles office, and $207 millionthrough San Francisco. PRIVATE HOUSING PROJECT A private housing project consisting of 75 five-room and 39 six-room dwellings will soon get un-der way at Baldwin Park, Los Angeles county
