Description Arriva Kent & Sussex bus 5916 (reg. M916 MKM), pictured at the M&D 100 rally on the Kent County Showground in Detling. New to M&D in 1994, it appears to have stayed in M&D (later Arriva Kent & Sussex) territory all its life. Note the larger than normal ratio of cream, and the dark blue skirt, differentiating it from the standard Arriva base livery. This appears to be a conscious effort to highlight the Kent People's Trust branding. 5916 appears to have worn this special livery for many years, with this variant replacing an earlier verision in 2009 which, while not incorporating a dark skirt, featured an even larger amount of cream, which reached as far back as the rear wheel arch before sweeping up. Perhaps because of this branding, it appears to have been mainly used on the longer routes, which range in all directions from Maidstone, right across west Kent. Still wearing this livery 2 years after this rally, it was aquired from Maidstone for preservation on 22 October 2013.
