Summary[edit]

Description

The Southend firm of E K Cole, famous pre-war for its Art Deco style ‘Ekco’ radio sets, was also involved in developing airborne cloud warning and navigation radar systems post-war. In 1954 it acquired this Anson from BKS at Southend, where it was fitted-out as an airborne laboratory, with prominent fibreglass nose radome. I shot it at Southend on 28 Oct 1965.
