Summary[edit]

Description
English:
Bean threshing operation on the Centinela Ranch, 1903
Photograph of a bean threshing operation on the Centinela Ranch, 1903. The steam thresher stands on the right with gears exposed from under a protruding sheet on the left side of the machine. A thick pipe extends over a large pile of beans in the foreground on the right with a tall, skeletal tower just next to it. Men stand over piles of bags filled with beans on the left and horses remain harnessed to wooden carts just next to them. Another appendage of the thresher stands in the background in front of a small, wooden structure while still attached to the main body by means of a thick ribbon. A grassy field stands behind them with rows of crops in the distance on the right.
