Description
English: Beelzebub’s Tales to his Grandson, subtitled ‘All and everything’, by G.I. Gurdjieff, is thought to contain the essence of his teaching about the necessary path of growth for human beings if they are to fulfil their purpose in life. He chose to impart this knowledge and wisdom in the form of a science fiction novel. But the way he writes is deliberately difficult to understand. Having read the Tales twice now, I offer a synopsis of key passages as well as my own comments on its meaning. My focus of interest is to understand how the content in the ‘Tales’ relates to the Enneagram as Gurdieff used that symbol, which is not the same as the modern Personality Enneagram, and is known as the Process Enneagram.
