Description Beja es un centro histórico fascinante, ubicado sobre la cima más alta de los llanos que rodean la región de Alentejo. La ciudad fue fundada por los romanos bajo el mandato de Julio César y más tarde fue una fortaleza morisca durante más de 400 años. La increíble historia de Beja transpira todavía hoy en su arquitectura y por los pequeños callejones adoquinados que constituyen el trazado del centro histórico de la ciudad. Muchos de sus edificios lucen el color blanco del estilo tradicional del Alentejo y están adornados con chimeneas moriscas y azulejos minuciosamente decorados.
