Summary[edit]
DescriptionBeth's Arch through the trees, Bilston, Wolverhampton - geograph.org.uk - 1800627.jpg |
English: Beth's Arch through the trees, Bilston, Wolverhampton Beth's Arch is an eight metre tall sculpture of painted fabricated steel on the Black Country Route roundabout near the site of the former Bilston Steel Works.
The structure, by Sarah Tombs, represents two figures emerging from the flames of industry linking arms to form an arch and is named Beths Arch after Elizabeth, one of the blast furnaces at the old steelworks at nearby Springvale. The red brick building on the left is the Lidl supermarket and is to the left of the sculpture and the fire station offices are to the right. |
