good results another season, now it has an outer flight, asthe sheltered portion gives excellent nesting accommodation, especially for Parrakeets, and being very lofty supplies excel-lent night quarters for such species. Those who have read Capt. Eeeves letter in our lastissue, will share with him the wonder (as I did after seeing),after reading the above description, that breeding results havenot been better—as it is one can only put it down to oneof the inexplicable vagaries of aviary life perversity. The Dickcissel, or Black-throated Bunting-, is an abund-ant species, and has a fairly extensive range. In winter italmost reaches the Equator in Colombia, and is also found inCentral America; it winters also in Mexico and Arizona. Asa breeding species it ranges over a large area of Eastern NorthAmeri
