Svenska: Läderfodralet återfanns hos en bondfamilj i norra Tyskland på 1800-talet. Dess inskrift är: Sigillum Birgeri secundi Dei gracia ducis sweorum (Birger den andres, af Guds nåd svearnes jarls, sigill). Till en början attribuerad till Birger jarl eftersom hans sigill återfinns tre gånger på fodralet men har senare daterats till 1300-talet och någon av hans sonsöner kung Birger Magnusson eller hertig Erik Magnusson har föreslagits som ägare till fodralet. |
