The Board-walk of Atlantic City is the Promenadeof America. The Bathing Beach is the most perfecton the Atlantic Coast. Fifty thousandbathers are often seen in the surf at onetime in the Summer months. At theInlet Wharf a yachting fleet, staunchlybuilt and ably manned, at all seasons ac-commodates the public either individu-ally or in parties at a moderate price.The Absecon Lighthouse, the life-savingdrills by the United States Coast Guards,and the manceuvres of the fishing and oyster fleets are other interesting marinefeatures. The Automobile Course on the beachin South Atlantic City is famous for therecords which have been made at lowtides on its smooth, hard sand. Probablyno other beach races have been so largelyattended.
