Notes Native Mineral Water Co ginger beer bottle The Native Mineral Water Co was established in Auckland by Sigvard Dannefaerd (Danneford) between 1898 and 1905. Located at 207 Queen Street, Auckland. S Danneford migrated to NZ from Denmark circa 1873 and set up in business as Jeweller, Lapidiary and Curio Merchant operating from the ‘City Hall Buildings’, Queen Street. He worked as a collector and trader for the Natural History Museum, London and the NZ Dominion Museum, and also collected for Lord Rothschild. In addition he established a reputation as a photographer, selling his work to a postcard company. He sold his business to JB Reade in 1905, but the company had ceased operating by 1907.
