English: German buckle with Saxony badge "Providentiae Memor" (Providence in Mind), WW1 two-piece brass oblong buckle; attached roundel bearing motto 'PROVIDENTIAE MEMO'; roundel soldered on markings- stamped on reverse of buckle "(H.AURICH) - DRESDEN - 1914". Note- Hermann Aurich manufactured buckles and the 2nd class iron cross during WWII. This buckle also appears to carry the firm's name. |
