Xow,however, the bird appears to have forsaken us, few if any having beenheard of for the past few years. We can hardly account for this. TheEnglish Sparrows are scarcely numerous enough in the outskirts tohave driven the Buntings away, nor need the building up of the cityhave-caused them to retire from the whole District, as they appear tohave done.
