A summer resident, and the most abundant of its tribej it may alwaysbe found during the summer along Rock Creek and about the marshesand estuaries of the Potomac. It used to nest at times in the slashes,already often mentioned in this paper as within the city limits. It arrivesthe first of May and remains until the middle of September. (603) 192. (165.)
