BnUeiin de fAcad. Tmp. des se, T. XXL Supplément. STATUT FUR DEN PRËIS DES (iËUEIMRATHS v., BIER. (Genehmigt vou der Kaiaeilicheu Akademie der Wissenschaften in ihrer Gesammtsitzung am 18. Januar 1874.) -Q^^^ës^ë- Statiit fiir den Preis des Geheimraths von Baer. In Folge der Erfahrungen, die iiian bei dreimaliger Vertlieilung des im Jalire 1864 gestifteteii Preises des Geheimraths von Baer machte, stellte sich die Notli- wendiglveit lieraus, einige Bestimraimgen in dem fur die Zuerliennung dièses Preises bestelienden Statut abzuiinderu. Auf Wunsch und uuter Mitwirlamg des Hrn. V. Baer entwarf daher die Akademie ein neues Statut, wobei sie unter Anderem die Bestimmung traf, aus den Zinsen des Kapitals, auf welchem der Baer'- sclic Preis fundirt ist, ausser den fiir wissenschaftliclie Arbeiten naturhistoriscli-biologisclien Inlialts bestimm- ten Geldpramien, noch eiue goldenc Ehrenmedaille zu creiren, die als liOcliste Anerkennung solchen Gelelir- ten zuerkanut werden sollte, welclie durch eine lange Reihe von Arbeiten eineu Zweig der biologisclien Naturwissenschaften wcsentlicli gefordert haben. Auf eine diesbeziigliclic allerunterthiinigste Unterlegung durch den Hrn. Minister der Volksaufldiirung erfolgte am 14. Mai 1874 die Allerhocbste Genelimigung zur Crcirung einer solchen Médaille nach der beifolgenden Zeichnung: Avers. Revei'S.
