For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Krisch-Berlin: Sicherung der Staatsgrenze am 13.8.1961. Der 1. Sekretär des Zentralrates der FDJ, Horst Schumann, zeichnete am 19.8.1961 vor dem Bahnhof Friedrichstaße verdiente Genossen der Transportpolizei aus. Die Einsatzgruppe der VP-Meisters Karl Schwawe erhielt die Ehrenurkunde des Zentralrates der FDJ. Veröffentlichtung nur mit Genehmigung der Pressestelle des MDI -
