PLANT GERMAIN'S FOR COLORFUL Each year we receive many inquiries from our customers and from clubs and civic organizations, regarding the best and most colorful flower to plant for summer bloom in the garden as well as for city beautification, in order that, even during these trying summer months, Los Angeles may live up to her name of THE CITY OF FLOWERS. We unhesitatingly recommend The Zinnia. All types are easily grown, thrive in hot weather, bloom freely and long and include all the bright and gay colors the occasion demands. Zinnia California Giants In form these flowers resemble the mammoth type, but with a notable increase in size and petals more loosely placed lending a new grace from bud to bloom until fully expanded to their typical enormous size.
