English: La Puerta de Tierra.
Afin de se protéger des pirates, la décision de construire un mur autour de la ville fut prise. Il avait respectivement une longueur atteignant aux environs de 2 560 m. Il avait la forme d’un polygone irrégulier « avec six fronts, quatre portes et huit bastions. Ces derniers avaient été construits pour aider à protéger les murs, en 1732 la Puerta de Tierra fut construite avec un étalage de techniques militaires. |
