The aver-age rainfall in the area is from 18 in.to 25 in., and the river flow at the Pointdu Bois Falls was 16,000 cub. ft. persecond as a minimum and 55,000 cub. ft.per second as a maximum during theyears 1907 to 1910. Old flood-markssuggest that flows of 90,000 to 100,000cub. ft. have been reached.
