Many of the boys provide carpet for their rooms, thusgiving them a very neat and homelike appearance. Keys, wash-bowls, pitchers and looking-glasses are fur-nished by the school, but their cost must be deposited whenthey are obtained, which deposit will be refunded when theyare returned uninjured. MORAL AND RELIGIOUS CULTURE. All students are required to attend the opening exercises ofthe school ia the Chapel each day, and all must attend reUg-ious services each Sabbath morning in the town, at thechurches preferred by their parents or guardians. TheYoung Mens and Young Womens Christian Associationsare large and efficient, and maintain regular non-sectarianreligious meetings. LABORATORIES. Students receive instructions without extracharge, but are required to pay for chemicals used, breakage,■etc. The removal of the laboratory out of the main schoolbuilding has removed all the danger often apprehended fromsuch departments. Laboratories have also been equippedwith apparatus, microscopes, &c., for individual work in Phys-ics, Botany, Physiology and Zoology. APPARATUS.The institution is supplied with Philosophical and ChemicalApparatus of the most approved kind, large additions havingbeen made recently. LITERARY SOCIETIES. There are connected with the school two flourishing Liter-ary Societies—The Moore Literary Society and the AryanSociety—composed of students and members of the Faculty.
