Notes
  • Significance: The 2300 block of Chapline Street has been an integral part of Wheeling's urban streetscape for over one hundred years. The seven structures selected for study by this survey have changed little since they were built. They possess a strong cohesiveness which is the result of the similarity of their architectural design. Their scale, relative proportions, relation of materials, and the general homogeneity of workmanship have produced a neighborhood of individual units which collectively create a strong sense of nineteenth century Wheeling.
  • Unprocessed Field note material exists for this structure: FN-44
  • Survey number: HABS WV-188
  • Building/structure dates: after 1800 Initial Construction
