| Description |
English: Coalport Bridge 1818 Built shortly after the more famous Ironbridge 254 it uses a lot less metal. Too little, it turned out, for the three original ribs had to be supplemented by two more. They are twisted, though; see how the central rib starts off leaning to the left but is leaning right at the far abutment. The weight restriction is 3 tons, but it still makes me nervous to drive over it. |
