Français : Photo prise sur le Plateau d'helfaut en 1994, près de la Colonne d'Helfaut (près de Saint Omer, dans le Pas de Calais, en France.
Cette zone était autrefois sableuse, naturellement oligotrophe et acide, entretenue par les lapins l'extraction épisodique de sable abritaient des tapis de bruyère callune (Calluna vulgaris) et de bruyère à 4 angles (Erica tetralix) encore nombreuses au début des années 1990. Ils ont brutalement disparu, en grande partie ensevelis par des apport massif de sable et gravats (plus de 2 m d'épaisseur) issus des travaux d'agrandissement d'un hopital voisin. Le haut de la zone s'est ensuite couverte d'un tapis de graminées, mais au détriment des espèces qui y trouvaient autrefois un habitat particulier (dont de nombreux hyménoptères et coléoptères fouisseur en particulier) English: Site of Colonne d'Helfaut, Near Helfaut, Pas de Calais, north of france) |
