Sunday school. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, chil-drens and boys* and girls missionary organizations,womens missionary societies, mens clubs, classes, andbrotherhoods, social service committees, and the like.The desirability of bringing these various local churchorganizations, especially those that are common to allthe churches, into cooperative and simultaneous actionin the community is above debate. The Sunday schoolassociations, the young peoples unions, the federatedmens clubs, the interdenominational womens mission-ary unions, are all democratically controlled organiza-tions of these various interests in the churches. It willat once be seen that the problem here is to correlate andcoordinate these various organizations representingphases of interchurch work. In order to do this the 12 COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FOR CHURCHES ECCLESIASTICAL UNITS OF CONTROL As illustrated in the case of a city of 23,000, where eleven dif-ferent Protestant denominations are representedby one or more churches.
