| Description | New Orleans: Connie Jones Jazz Band plays for the "Nickle A Dance" series at Cafe Brasil. The band started on time; this photo was taken as they started playing and the venue was largely empty as many people were outside listening to another band playing in the street at the next corner; 10 minutes later the place was packed full. The band here consisted of David Boedinghouse (obscured behind pillar in this photo), piano; Rick Trolsen, trombone; Matt Perine, string bass; Connie Jones, cornet & leader; Dickie Taylor, drums; Tim Lauglin, clarinet; and Ottis Bazoon, saxophone. |
