English: Principle of galvanic corrosion:
  • anode (less noble metal): dissolution of metal, reaction with water, acidification;
  • cathode (noblest metal): reaction of water and dissolved dioxygen, alcalinisation;
  • migration of ions due to the difference of electric potential, accumulation of anions around the anode.
