English: Holotype specimen (LFN−PW 2008/5599−LS) of Cryptovenator hirschbergeri Fröbisch et al. 2011 from the Remigiusberg Formation (lowermost part of Rotliegend Series, Upper Pennsylvanian) of the Saar-Nahe Basin (Rhineland Palatinate, Germany), a right dentary (i.e. the right tooth-bearing bone of the lower jaw). This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Original version was copied from the PDF version of the article by selecting the figure area and using the ‘copy’ function in the adobe reader context menu, hence it was copied with pointing lines but without scale bar and any labels, because these elements are vector graphics (the original version given as source above, however, was captured as a screenshot). The figure was cropped in order to remove subfigures E and F (version of 28 July 2013). Pointing lines in subfigure B were subsequently retouched (version of 9 November 2014), scale bar and designation letters of the subfigures were copied from the screenshot file, and the dentary of Dimetrodon in subfigure C was highlighted (version of 11 May 2019)..
