Cest un volumineux manuscrit, comportant deux tomesde cinq cents pages chacun, appartenant à la Bibliothèquenationale, & que Jaugeon a rédigé en collaboration avec DesBiIIettes & le Père Sébastien Truchet, ainsi que je lai dit plushaut, page 83. Bien que lon y trouve certaines répétitions des œuvresantérieures de cet auteur, ce qui dailleurs est suffisammentindiqué par le sous-titre précité, il y a dans ce manuscrit uneélaboration originale : cest une théorie mathématique sur lartde dessiner & de graver les caractères, théorie qui semble être,en partie, lorigine du tracé pratique employé habituellementpour la création dun caractère typographique quelconque.
