Deutsch: Die oben näher beschriebene Darstellung des St. Simeon auf dem Bausendorfer Wappen ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass es sich hierbei um das ehemalige Schöffensiegel von Bausendorf aus dem Jahre 1577 handelt und auch St. Simeon bis 1569 Kirchenpatron von Bausendorf war. In seiner Darstellung mit Pilgertasche und Palmzweig gilt der heilige Simeon als Bote der Völkerverständigung und des Friedens.
Der gewandete Frauenarm mit Hängeärmel, zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger einen goldenen Fingerring haltend, begleitet von fünf goldenen Tatzenkreuzchen zeigt das Wappenschild des Konrad von Lösnich aus dem Jahre 1530 und damit die Zugehörigkeit von Bausendorf und eines kleinen Teiles von Olkenbach zur damaligen Herrschaft Lösnich. Dieses Wappenschild war im frühen Mittelalter als Auszeichnung der Burgmannen verbreitet. |
