Object history
Deutsch: Schon das älteste, 1770 gestochene Siegel der an einer Neckarschleife gelegenen Gemeinde enthielt mit einem Baum, Blumen und einem Bienenkorb ein „redendes" Bild für den Ortsnamen. Seit dem 19. Jahrhundert zeigte das Siegelbild außer zwei Bienenkörben, die auf einem Gestell stehen, einen Angler am Ufer eines Gewässers, letzteren wohl als Anspielung auf die Neckarfischerei. Da sich dieses ansprechende, aber komplizierte Siegelbild nicht für ein Wappen eignet, schlug das Generallandesarchiv 1912 ein einfacheres Wappen vor, das von der Gemeinde zwar akzeptiert, jedoch nicht verwendet wurde. Im Jahre 1957 entschloss man sich zur Annahme des ebenfalls vom Generallandesarchiv entworfenen Wappens, das die Motive der alten Siegelbilder in vereinfachter Form aufgreift. Wappen und Flagge wurden am 5. November 1957 vom Innenministerium verliehen.
