Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen ist durch die diagonale Darstellung des Dedenbachs von links oben nach rechts unten in zwei Felder aufgeteilt. Im rechten oberen Feld ist ein römisches Wagenrad dargestellt. Dieses Wagenrad soll auf eine frühere Besiedlung im Breich "An den Birken" deuten und auf die Kohlstraße, die ein Verbindungsweg - von der Hauptstraße von Trier nach Köln - zum Rhein war. Im linken unteren Feld ist das Vaterlandkreuz dargestellt. Bis in die 80iger Jahre des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde einmal im Jahr zu Pfingsten eine Wallfahrt nach St. Matthias in Trier unternommen.
