Object history Der Spaten gilt als Attribut des heiligen Kastulus, der als ehemaliger Kirchenpatron der Pfarrkirche für Ort und Gemeinde Kastl namengebend war (1430 Sand Castl). Heute hat die Pfarrkirche das Patrozinium Mariä Himmelfahrt. Die drei goldenen Ziegelsteine verweisen auf die örtlichen Tonvorkommen, die seit langem von wirtschaftlich bedeutenden Ziegeleien verwertet werden. Das Kleeblatt unterstreicht die immer noch starke landwirtschaftliche Prägung des Gemeindegebiets.
