Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Klettgau ist am 1. August 1971 durch Zusammenschluss von Erzingen, Grießen, Rechberg, Riedern am Sand und Weisweil entstanden. 1975 kamen Bühl und Geißlingen durch Eingemeindung hinzu. Da alle Ortsteile bis 1806 zur Landgrafschaft Klettgau gehört hatten und der Name der Grafschaft als Gemeindename gewählt worden war, lag es nahe, das Wappen der Landgrafschaft - in variierter Form - in das Wappen der neuen Gemeinde aufzunehmen. Dieses zeigt in Silber drei rote Spitzen, ist also das Stammwappen der Grafen zu Sulz, die die Landgrafschaft vom 15. bis 17. Jahrhundert innehatten. Um den Zusammenschluss von fünf Gemeinden zu symbolisieren, wurde die Anzahl der Spitzen entsprechend erhöht. Die Tanne ist dem Wappen von Weisweil entnommen. Am 16. März 1972 verlieh das Innenministerium das Wappen und die Flagge. |
