Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde von Karl Heinz Brust entworfen und am 10. Februar 1983 genehmigt. Das Schildhaupt referenziert auf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zum Kurfürstentum Trier. Der Abtstab und die Axt sind an Motive in einem alten Siegel angelehnt, das bis dato von der Abtei S. Matthias in Trier geführt wird. Die Ölleuchtenkanne („Lampe“) verweist redend auf den Ortsnamen „Lampaden“. Sie steht sinnbildlich für die ehemalige Abgabe von Lampenöl zum Unterhalt der Kirchenleuchten.
