Deutsch: Bis zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts benutzte die Gemeinde nur Schriftsiegel mit der Umschrift BÜRGERMEISTERAMT LOTTSTETTEN. Spätere Farbstempel zeigen eine Korngarbe in wechselnder Darstellung. Da vor 1900 viele Gemeinden, die kein eigenes Wappen oder Ortszeichen besaßen, landwirtschaftliche Symbole in ihren Siegeln führten, wurde der Gemeinde im Jahr 1906 ein auf die Ortsgeschichte bezugnehmendes Wappen vorgeschlagen. Es bot sich an, das Wappen der Herren von Balm (in Rot ein silberner Mühlstein), deren Burg auf der Gemarkung Lottstetten lag, anzunehmen. Die Gemeinde führte jedoch im Siegel weiterhin die Korngarbe. 1967 legte die Gemeinde auf Empfehlung des Generallandesarchivs die Farben fest. Am 7. August 1967 verlieh das Innenministerium das Wappen und die Flagge. |
