Object history
Deutsch: Die Martinusszene geht zurück auf das alte Gerichtssiegel, das die St. Martinsszene zeigt. Als unterscheidendes Beizeichen ist das Schildchen im rechten oberen Eck aufgenommen. Meddersheim war Oberschultheißerei in der Wild- und Rheingrafenschaft. 1750 gehört es als Kondominium (gemeinschaftlicher Besitz) den Linien Salm-Kyrburg und Dhaun je zur Hälfte. Salm-Kyrburg führte in Rot 3 goldene Löwen. Der Löwenkopf steht aus heraldischen Gründen in verwechselten Farben im Schildchen.
