Object history
Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen übernahm die Hirschstange aus dem Wappen des Ortsadelsgeschlechts der Herren von Sachsenkam, die um 1020 erstmals nachweisbar sind und seit 1060 als Vögte des Benediktinerklosters Tegernsee wirkten. Als letzter Vertreter der Familie ist noch 1509 Joachim von Sachsenkam belegt. Das Wappen der Sachsenkam ist auf Siegeln aus dem 14. und 15. Jahrhundert überliefert.
