Object history
Deutsch: Der Wappenfuß steht für die beiden Erhebungen von Galgen- und Saalberg, die den "Salzburger Kopf" bilden. Auf die dortige Gerichts- und Hinrichtungsstätte weist die Waage hin. Die beiden Räder dokumentieren die Lage des Ortes an einer schon früher bedeutenden Verkehrsverbindung (Köln-Leipziger-Straße). Der Hahn ist als volkstümliches Symbol des Ortes von früher her überliefert und hat so als "Salzburger Gickel" Einzug in das Wappen gehalten.
