Summary
[edit]DescriptionDayton trolleybus 2064, a 2020 Kiepe DMBT with Gillig BRT body (2021).jpg | Greater Dayton RTA trolleybus 2064, a 2020-built Gillig/Kiepe dual-mode trolleybus, on Rainbow Drive at Bataan Drive, in the loop at the east end of route 7-Watervliet, nearing the end of an outbound trip. No. 2064 has a Gillig BRT Plus low-floor body+chassis, which was provided without any propulsion equipment to Kiepe, who then equipped it as a trolleybus – its model DMBT (for dual-mode battery/trolley) – for RTA. It is one of 41 such vehicles built in 2019–20 (plus four prototypes built in 2014, of which two were model DMDT, with small diesel engine). |
