Description
English: Indonesian Armed Forces disembark from a U.S. Navy SH-60F Seahawk helicopter into the village of Lamno, Sumatra, Indonesia, on Jan. 2, 2005. The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 2 are conducting humanitarian operations in the wake of the tsunamis that struck Southeast Asia. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean in the waters off Indonesia and Thailand. The Seahawk is assigned to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 2.
