Description
English: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, U.S. Navy, speaks to Marines at Camp Lejeune, N.C., on Dec. 7, 2009. The Marines are scheduled to be among the first units deployed under President Barack Obama's plan to surge 30,000 additional forces in Afghanistan. Along with speaking to the Marines, Mullen also traveled to Fort Campbell, Ky., to visit soldiers that will also be deployed.
