English: General procedure in the study of material strength (turning counterclockwise): external actions (forces, torques) ↔ internal actions (tensile strength, shear strength, bending moment, torsion moment) ↔ stress tensor σij ↔ strain tensor εij ↔ field of displacement ui(xi). The relationships are (in blue, turning counterclockwise): principle of cut, principle of equivalence, generalized Hooke's law, derivation/integration.
