Summary[edit]

Description
English: 3D printing is a new technology that holds promise for advancing American manufacturing. It can be used to rapidly create prototypes and parts that are difficult - or in some cases, impossible - to manufacture through conventional methods. 3D printing can reduce material waste, and it can help us to design lighter aerospace or car parts that can help save fuel, energy, and money. Dr. Ben Wang, right, executive director of GTMI, and his graduate students demonstrated the process to Administrator Gina McCarthy
