| Description |
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The visitors of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam receive an electrical hearing device which gives them an explanation of the paintings in the rooms. SHOTS: - Visitors with headsets and hearing devices walk through the rooms looking around while listening; - shown is how everything works technically: the voice of the explicator is played on a tape recorder by a technician in a room at the side; an amplifier sends a signal to the ring wires in the rooms; a special induction coil was put in the hearing devices that picks up the signal from the ring wires; - the ear pieces are desinfected in a bin - an attendant hands out the devices to the visitors; - demonstration of the system by using a forgery: while the corresponding unmasking comments are played, a painting is shown which is supposedly by Vermeer but in reality by Han van Meegeren.

In het Amsterdams Stedelijk Museum ontvangen de bezoekers een elektrisch hoorapparaat waarop explicatie wordt gegeven van de schilderijen in de zalen. SHOTS: - Bezoekers met hoofdtelefoons en hoorapparaten lopen kijkend en luisterend rond door de zalen; - in beeld wordt gebracht hoe alles technisch in zijn werk gaat: de stem van de explicateur wordt in een zijkamertje door een technicus afgespeeld via een bandopnameapparaat; een versterker stuurt het signaal naar in de zalen aangebrachte ringleidingen; in de gehoorapparaatjes is een speciale inductiespoel aangebracht die het signaal oppikt van de ringleiding; - de oorschelpjes worden in een bakje gedesinfecteerd - een suppoost reikt de setjes uit aan de bezoekers; - demonstratie van het systeem aan de hand van een vervalsing: een schilderij, zogenaamd van Vermeer, maar in werkelijkheid geschilderd door Han van Meegeren, wordt in cu in beeld gebracht terwijl tegelijkertijd het bijbehorende ontmaskerende commentaar opklinkt. |
