| Description |
English: Drain clearing, A49 The stop-go men gave me enough time to hop out and get an action shot on the very busy A49. This road links South Wales and Bristol with Liverpool and Manchester, and is often used as an alternative to the Midland motorway network to the east. Until this year it tended to get very busy on cup final days, but they have returned to London now (from Cardiff). The Shropshire section of the road is very slow and some bits missed out on rebuilding in the 1960s. This section was realigned sometime around 1969. The railway runs parallel to the right of the picture. |
