Summary[edit]

Description
English: NASA's Dodge Charger safety vehicle is pictured with one of NASA's ER-2 high-altitude Earth science aircraft on the ramp at the Agency's Dryden Aircraft Operations Facility in Palmdale, CA. The high-powered 2010-model car, driven by another experienced ER-2 pilot called a "mobile pilot," charges down the runway in high-speed chase of the ER-2 to call out descent rate and ground proximity to the ER-2 pilot.
