Title
Early Medieval Coin: silver penny of uncertain issuer
Description
English: Incomplete silver penny of Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. The coin is partial and extremely worn and as such very few details can be seen.

Obverse shows a circular object, which could be part of a head in the upper portion, enclosed within a beaded border that extends to the edge of the flan. No apparent legend can be seen.

Reverse is the moneyer name divided over three lines, separated by solid lines.

The separation of the reverse in this way, particularly with solid lines, would suggest that the coin is likely to be that of a King of Mercia or East Anglia, and likely dates to c. 780 - 885
